From too slow, to acting too soon too fast –
steady does it best
(don’t worry about the astro-jargon – go for the gist)
Hello there, my friends, sharing with me this journey through strange times.
. I suddenly hear in my head the theme tune from the film ‘The Titanic’. That was a massive ship carrying humanity through treacherous waters, ill-equipped to manage a disaster to which hubris, egoic pride, had blinded the authorities, hubris and potential financial gain. Can we all learn something from this? albeit at a different level 🙂 Humility is not false modesty, there is no sense of self in it, except the blended sense of ‘being with’ whoever is with us at the time. And yet there is also a awareness that we are not them in experience, only in being. And here I realise I’m talking Pisces, which is majorly what this month is about. Not just Pisces, but the journey into Aries without leaving Pisces behind, so to speak.
From too slow, to acting too soon too fast – steady does it best
. Venus started this journey into Aries on 4 February: about being oneself even when relating to another, not morphing into pleasing in order to be liked, or empathising to the degree of losing energy. And our efforts to be ourself would have been encouraged during the following couple of weeks, perhaps because we’d been losing ourselves a tad in the general anxiety that is sweeping humanity just now (Mercury through Pisces).
. Throughout March, the planets will be indicating where perhaps we might have gone too far on the self-first front (Mercury into Aries, and Venus retrograde, from the beginning of March). So whatever you may have begun early February may now be under inspection for signs of where you were a bit premature in your actions. We will experience changes and hold-ups – check if others would be affected by whatever move you may have been contemplating. There is nothing we need do about all this except relax our grip on specific goals, and surrender to the pressure of what I’m choosing to call ‘natural order.’ Natural order is the wonderful order we see in Nature, which of course stems from the Earth herself, and all material forms within her energetic sphere – and perhaps also whatever we humans see as material forms throughout the universe.
Appreciate and learn from the past, but then admit it’s over, gone
. Venus and Mercury will back into Pisces until early to mid-April, when they burst forward into Aries for the second time, Mercury mid-April, and Venus end of April. During both months, but especially March, we may feel that we are ready to move forward (Mars has been moving forward again since 23 February) and we can, but caution is suggested. Test the ground, take steps, but be prepared to rework your ideas, adjust your plans. What we can achieve on the second push forward will be more in line with what circumstances are then, less tied to our history and conditioning. Our efforts will stand more firmly in the changing times, and we may well go further than we originally expected.
. So March is our opportunity to see where we hold ourselves stuck, and let go of old assumed tethers. Appreciate how the shadows arose, but don’t give them your attention or energy. Instead, remember the direction from which the light of life flows, and face that way. In that light shadows are forgiven, and will disperse as soon as you see them. We are the carriers of that light, and it shines on our path continually. Our minds are not so clever that we can know the purpose of each step as we go along, but if we surrender to not knowing, the path will be able to reveal itself one step at a time. (All this shows in the chart of the New Moon as Mars trining Saturn and Mercury who are heading for humanity’s North Node with Neptune showing the way.)
The Full Moon – a total eclipse
. On 14 March, at 7am Universal Time, the Full Moon in Virgo will briefly be totally obscured by the shadow of Earth falling across it. It is as though all on Earth turn our backs on the detail of our history, letting go of blame and guilt, ready to use what we have learned from our experience. With the past behind us we are open to receive the light of timeless wisdom that directs us to love and care for each other as our selves, because in essence there is no difference (Sun/Saturn in Pisces trining Mars in Cancer).
. Above all this month, let’s give ourselves a break from the shadows cast over our hearts by our thinking, with its narrow pragmatism, sceptical, even cynical attitudes, anxious projections into the future – all of which have the energy to create the worst, if we give it full reign. Let’s instead let go of the restrictions we habitually place on our beautiful and creative dreaming of what would please and open our tired hearts. Angels, in the guise of the planet Neptune, are hovering over humanity’s path, ready to dissolve our disbelief and misgivings, ready to give us a little push towards the next layer of reality which our minds fear as not-knowing. Let us ‘not know’ so we may gaze on heavenly fields, beyond us now but familiar to our Being. This Full Moon eclipse will be a good time to meditate on how it might be to work with the Light, and be inspired to fly into freedom.

Contemplation for this New Moon in Pisces
Relax peacefully into your gentle body
becoming aware of its every pulse,
discovering the resonance with life itself
pulsing through the universe.
Relax into knowing
there is nothing you need do to re-charge
but relax and breathe.
And when you would act,
do that which comes first to your hand
with awareness, and joy.
En-joy it all!
With love,
Margaret
