Aries New Moon – 29 March 2025 Eclipse

Focus on the ever-changing flow of your inner experience –
as your everyday self crumbles, your soul’s joy can breathe.
Forgive your past, and receive life’s love for you.

Aries – speed of change, both outer and inner – go for it!
.       Well, here we are at the beginning of a new Zodiac year, as the Moon reaches the Sun in Aries! One of the fantastic benefits of the speed of change at present is that we can use the energetic impetus to make those inner changes we might have been finding so hard in the past. However, the Sun is already one third of the way through Aries, and this conjunction isn’t connecting strongly to any of the planets, so we may be feeling that our new beginnings haven’t found their footing in the world, so to speak. Don’t lose faith in yourself to cope – a physical exercise takes time to manifest flexibility and strength, so it can be on all levels.

Wake up – it’s all happening

.       So, what’s happening in this world where we’re aiming to manifest? From a broad perspective, the ocean waves of humanity’s two-thousand-year Pisces era are breaking on the shore of Aquarius, each wave of souls, as it hits the beach, encourages them to wake up to themselves as aspects of the Oneness. Perhaps the souls slightly more open to awakening arrive in the first waves to find the guides already landed. After being dragged back into their Pisces habits a few times for another crash on the shore, they manage to cling onto the land, and get ready to hold out hands to those following. The mass of humanity just keep being sploshed on the shore, and dragged back into the ocean of unconscious conditioning, asleep or confused, on and on – the process of evolving consciousness! There’s nothing wrong with this, it’s just the process of waking up to our deep connectedness. Once we give the idea a space in our thinking, we may realise that we possibly always had intimations of vastness or great love or inner closeness with something greater, especially as a child. Our conscious identity can then begin to shift from materialistic separateness into the more natural sense of being one with others, paradox though it is!

.       This month is perhaps a temporal microcosm of that process of awakening, a chance to practise letting go of whatever deep trauma gets in the way of our soul’s connection with the Source. Eventually we will discover the limits of technology in terms of inner soul growth, we will have to let go of dependence on addictive chemical solutions and anything else outside us, and we will need to stop blaming the world out there, because in truth we are the source of our own experience. No one person can do this for humanity as a whole. Through the Age of Pisces, Jesus represented the Source helping us remember the truth of our Oneness, but we never took responsibility for what that means in terms of how we treat each other.. Now, as the Age of Aquarius represents humanity as individuals, we are having to realise the truth one at a time. We are all extensions of the Source, and each of us must find inside ourselves conscious connection with that greater experience of Self, connecting with everything and everyone else, encompassing the world – ‘the Kingdom of God is within.’

What to do this month

.       The first half of the month focuses us on letting go of our past experience. As we become conscious of old assumptions, and methods of trying to control our world, it is easier to clear them off our path, each of us clearing our soul’s chosen trajectory. So although it may feel like a backward step to deal with childhood mistakes and pain, we need to accept all that rises because it’s between us and our forward growth; only then can our attachment to it dissolve. Letting go isn’t just what we do with a wasteful lifestyle, a stifling job or too much ‘stuff’; we can also let go of our need to create circumstances that mirror our childhood, or relationships that reflect back to us the worst we think of ourselves! Past reactions often rise through meeting people again who we’ve known before, this life or other lives (Venus and Mercury retrograde). The world we relate to outside is changing fast enough to demonstrate we not in control; but we can use this same energy to make strides in changing our attitudes and thoughts – always towards opening and acceptance, expansion. Through love for ones whole self, one can hold love for all the world.

.       Following the Full Moon on 13 April, there is more clarity in our forward movement (Mercury and Venus no longer retrograde), and perhaps a positive freeing from those old patterns that have held us back, our individual addictions to goals that don’t serve the expansion of self to soul. We are being called to heal with compassion the grieving heart of humanity, expressed in each one of us (Moon in Libra opposite Aries Sun and Chiron).
Throughout this month, rather than trying to heal our past pains before letting them go, we are being encouraged to hold forgiveness of the past in our hearts – and the healing is done! (Uranus sextiles Mars and Mercury, Mars squares Chiron). This encouragement is coming straight from the Source as Light and Love, but each one of us must accept the Love in order to receive the healing of self that it brings (Mercury on North Node in Pisces, Neptune now in Aries).

Contemplation for this New Moon in Aries

Are you not beautiful, dear soul! Your body breathes,
held in faithful elastic skin and many layered tissue,
to move you through the wonderful experience
of being alive in this world.

Is that not amazing, the complexity;
every system you find intricately part of the whole!
And all encompassed by the aura of gentle love,
generously fed by Earth’s abundance,
no need to deserve, freely given –
part of the complexity supporting the whole.
And all blended for life to flow through.

You are beautiful, wondrous, and there’s more –
because you are growing towards the Source of wholeness.
You are a maturing child of the universe
waking from sleep, where you dreamed of life,
waking to life’s brilliant reality.
