Tune in to angelic love, and give your brain a rest!

(don’t worry about the astro-jargon – go for the gist)
Virgo – everything in it’s place for efficiency
. We’ve had a fairly clear couple of weeks before this New Moon, time perhaps to sort the fall-out from that last Full Moon eclipse. Now the Moon conjuncts the Sun in Virgo, who is aiming to make things better by working on what needs to be done. And the energy of Mars in Cancer, our emotional sensitivity to others’ needs, is strongly supporting that work, upholding and protecting family values.
. This part of the pattern is not connecting directly with the rest, a kind of background ideal. But Virgo is ruled by Mercury, expressing through thought and communication about things, and Mercury is very involved with the rest of the pattern. He has just moved from Virgo into Libra, so our concern is for peace and harmony in all our relating, that means a tendency for anxious worrying about what has gone before and what’s to be done to improve what might have gone wrong! There will be a need to check with reality first, are we worrying needlessly? And if we are right, and something hurtful has happened, this is a perfect place to begin negotiations for any deeply hurtful past. What’s on the table for discussion is the knowledge that transformation is required, and this discussion is assisted by an ability to see things from a detached perspective (Mercury in a grand trine with Pluto and Uranus). Letting go, may mean retreating for a time with calmness and flexibility, giving space for natural solutions to unfold. The withdrawal may only need to last until February 2027, when the field is open for new ideas to open up fresh possibilities (Uranus retrograde from this New Moon until 8 Feb.27).
Facing old pains without judgement
. The point of being calm and patient at this time is to keep from adding to the damage that’s already been done (Mercury quincunxes Chiron in Taurus, who exactly opposes Venus just into Scorpio). This is to say that we are dealing with an old hurt that has been struggling under the surface for a long time: a larger expression of this pattern is the Iran situation – cruel oppression of the people by a rigid authority; another could be the flood in Nepal, exacerbated perhaps by China’s explosive building for more hydro-electric power.
. When hidden things come to light, all manner of reactions hit the fan! The question we can all be dealing with in our own lives is ‘How can I respond appropriately to the outer needs, while being my best self?’ Whatever situation our ego may have apparently caused, the answer must come from the field of our soul. The ego- or body-mind cannot solve these situations with its limited view. We need to look from the Greater Self perspective to get the whole picture, and then the appropriate response will be obvious; resting in love with spirit always helps life to unfold (Mercury opposite Neptune). Watch for overthinking your relationships – it never helps! Deep problems that aren’t helped by talking, can often be softened by reaching into your soul understanding and talking lovingly with the soul of the one you’re relating to – maybe asking for angelic help. You don’t need to tell their ego/personality that you’ve done that – just wait and see how things can change.
Find love and joy as you go long – it’s all there!
. By the Full Moon on 26 September, spiritually inspired solutions that are always there will be very accessible. We just need to remember to be open to receiving guidance, and following through (Full Moon on Neptune in Aries opposite the Libran Sun). Mercury connects with Neptune in the New Moon chart, but not until the Moon reaches Neptune do we fully realise what it means to have the angels with us. My feeling is that all sorts of things that seem to be stuck will begin to free up. With love as the oil in the works, emotions begin to settle down again – there may even be a sense of celebration (Mars leaves Cancer for Leo 26 September).
. But it’s not a time to rest on one’s laurels, there is more work ahead, and our desire for a happy solution could blind us to what still needs to be done. Let us just deal with what arises in the day, and maybe the week, but not look further ahead thinking we know what’s there. I put arrangements in my diary in pencil these days, so much easier to erase it when adjustments need to be made. Through late September and early October, stay in touch with spiritual guidance wherever you find it, we will need help to navigate the waves of emotion triggered through humanity. Maintain inner calm and flexibility however you do that. Meditation is a wonderful internal peace-bringer if we just relax and take care of our bodily needs. The angelic levels are very potent during this period, so call on them for support and clearing, in whatever way works for you. And remember to love yourself through all your efforts – it’s not easy being human!
Personal responsibility clears relational confusion
. Through the first half of October, the energy is likely to trigger all sorts of truths to rise, and possible incompatibilities to show up (Mercury enters Scorpio joining Venus who turns retrograde on 2 October). We are learning to be independent without separating ourselves. Incompatibilities require boundaries – we can still be in relationship but maybe not so close. There is no need to judge, we are just different expressions of spirit through this earthly life, and that gives us the capacity to choose how we move among our community. As this New Moon is in Virgo, it’s a perfectly opportune time to notice how we feel, and practise being clear about it with others. Taking responsibility for our experience clears away so much confusion, and enables more enjoyable and creative relating. Over the past couple of weeks, this could have led to a warm sense of family and community as basis for support through the month to come (Saturn in Aries trined by Jupiter in Leo – passed exact, and fading).

Contemplation for this Virgo New Moon
Hold to your loved ones
neither blame nor judge, not even your self
All that happens is food for growth
unfolding, evolving, like dough on the board
love it all as you roll – change, adapt, grow
As life is around you and spirit through all
you are only yourself in relation to others
tumbling close, sliding by, caressing in passing
finding where you are and are not,
but feeling it all anyway – spirit is all
in joy and in love
beautiful
With love.
