The brink of Aquarius into Pisces
At the last New Moon, in the first degree of Aquarius, we
were being called to rethink, and develop a fairer, more inclusive,
model. This New Moon is not just in the last degree of Aquarius,
but the end of the last degree - 11 seconds later and the
Moon moves into Pisces, 3 minutes later the Sun is also in
Pisces.
So perhaps we are supposed to have done our rethinking,
ready to apply the new model, but poised on the brink of action
(Venus/Mars at the end of Pisces about to enter Aries).
There are two ways a new model could be applied at this Pisces-interface
between Aquarius and Aries: one is with sensitivity to the
people or situations that need the change; the other is to
coldly manipulate the masses.
This New Moon chart suggests that the latter could hold
sway (Mercury in Aquarius sextile Saturn) unless
humanity as a whole can respond with enough empathy to keep
a fair balance (Mercury also sextiles the Pisces Venus/Mars).
It’s clear, from the world news we get, how necessary
this empathy is in political situations at present; but let’s
apply the idea to our own lives:
Stay in touch with the love in your heart
Following any recent realisations we may have had, we may
feel like making big moves. But we need to remain in touch
with our loved ones, their needs as well as our own. We need
to stay clear about the situations as they are NOW and not
rush to change it all too soon. We need to not burn the bridges
of communication by following unfeeling principles, however
intelligent and good for everyone they may seem to be. This
is a time to remain in touch, while we explore the options
opening up since we are seeing things a different way. It’s
a bit like the butterfly, having dragged itself out of the
cocoon, must wait for the wings to unfold and dry, and the
energy of light to enliven it, before attempting to fly.

Being ourselves helps the world
By the Full Moon and for the rest of the month, we could
be thinking about taking a break from routine, being surprised
with new ways of enjoying ourselves, courses of study or recreation
we’ve never taken before (Mars/Uranus/Venus in Aries
trining Jupiter in Leo). And although it may seem impossible,
considering the amount of work that needs to be done, more
will be achieved through expanding our horizons in this way
than by the steady grind of work, or by forcibly taking a
new stand (Pluto, trine Moon, quincunxes Jupiter).
We will be learning how being happy to be ourselves supports
others, and consequently strengthens the whole community (Aries
South Node to Libra North Node). By the next New Moon
on 20 March, the last of the recent blasts to our foundations
will have happened (Uranus squares Pluto for the last
time since 2012) and the reverberations will begin settling
the shape of things to come over the next few years. Who knows
what that will bring . . .
. . . in a nutshell . . .
The main thing for the moment is to allow your life to take
its shape, in the hands of your own spiritual movement, rather
than interfering from a desirous place - to remain poised
until your flow is clear. This is not idle waiting - there
is much to be done - it is waiting in the knowledge that we
are truly in the hands of life itself, and on that level All
is Well.
